What personal data we collect
We may collect and process the following categories of personal data:
- Contact and enquiry data: name, email address, telephone number, postal address and postcode, and any message you send us through our contact forms, live chat, callback request, or home visit booking.
- Care enquiry data: information you provide when booking a home visit or enquiring about care, such as the service type you are interested in, whether the care is for yourself or a loved one, preferred dates and times, and any details you choose to share about care needs.
- Care home staffing data: organisation name, your role, the roles and shift patterns you need staff for, and urgency, where you enquire about agency staffing for a care home.
- Job application data: name, contact details, right-to-work status, DBS and criminal convictions declarations, employment history, qualifications, availability, and documents you upload such as your CV, cover letter and qualification certificates, when you apply for a role through our Careers portal.
- Account data: email address and password (stored securely as a hash), and role information, when you register for one of our portals (worker, client, care home, or admin).
- Technical and usage data: IP address, browser type and version, device information, pages visited, and how you found our site, collected through cookies and similar technologies — see our Cookie Policy for details.
How and why we use your data
We only process your personal data where we have a lawful basis under UK GDPR. The main bases we rely on are:
- Consent: where you have agreed to us processing your data, for example subscribing to updates or accepting non-essential cookies. You can withdraw consent at any time.
- Contract: where processing is necessary to take steps before entering into a contract with you (such as assessing a job application or arranging a home visit) or to perform a contract we have with you (such as providing care or agency staffing services).
- Legal obligation: where we are required to process data by law, for example carrying out right-to-work and DBS checks on agency workers under immigration and safeguarding legislation.
- Legitimate interests: where we have a genuine business reason that does not override your rights, such as responding to enquiries, improving our website, and keeping our records accurate.
- Vital interests: in rare cases where processing is necessary to protect someone's life or safety.
We use your data to:
- respond to your enquiry and arrange home visits or callbacks;
- assess job applications and carry out pre-employment compliance checks;
- provide and manage care services and agency staffing placements;
- communicate with you about your enquiry, application, or service;
- maintain the security and proper functioning of our portals;
- analyse and improve our website and services; and
- meet our legal and regulatory obligations as a care provider.
Special category data
Because we provide care services, you may share information about your health, care needs, or a loved one's condition. This is special category data under UK GDPR. We only process it where you have given explicit consent, or where it is necessary to provide the care service you have requested, and we handle it with particular care and confidentiality.
International data transfers
Your data is stored and processed primarily within the United Kingdom and the European Economic Area. Where any service provider we use is located outside the UK, we ensure appropriate safeguards are in place, such as UK International Data Transfer Agreements, so your data is protected to UK standards.
How long we keep your data
We only keep your personal data for as long as we need it for the purpose it was collected, or as long as we are legally required to. Enquiry data is typically retained for up to two years. Job application data is retained for the duration of the recruitment process and, for successful applicants, for the duration of employment plus the legally required retention period for employment and compliance records. You can ask us to delete your data sooner where we are not legally required to keep it.
How we protect your data
We use appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your personal data, including secure storage, access controls limited to authorised staff, encryption in transit, and regular reviews of our processes. Despite these measures, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Your rights under UK GDPR
Depending on the circumstances, you have the right to:
- be informed about how we use your data (this policy);
- access the personal data we hold about you;
- rectify data that is inaccurate or incomplete;
- erase your data (the "right to be forgotten"), where we are not legally required to keep it;
- restrict or object to our processing of your data;
- data portability — receive your data in a structured, machine-readable format;
- withdraw consent at any time, where we rely on consent; and
- complain to the ICO if you believe we have mishandled your data.
To exercise any of these rights, please contact us at info@24-7care4u.co.uk. We will respond within one month, as required by law.
Children's privacy
Our services are not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 16. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us and we will delete it.
Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices, the law, or our services. The "last updated" date at the top of this page will always show the most recent version. We will notify you of any significant changes where appropriate.

You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) if you believe we have not handled your data properly. You can contact the ICO at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113.
